The River Birch Cabin is right on a fast rushing, clear stream with a long rocking chair back porch just eight feet from the  creek’s edge.  It has a superbly comfortable king size bed, antique furniture in the bedroom … and if you keep the bedroom windows open just a crack … the creek will soothe you into the “sweetest sleep you’ve had in a long time” (so say our guests, and we agree!).  It also has a private nook with two bunk beds and a queen-size pull-out couch.  The River Birch has a full dining room, a large great room with cathedral ceiling, a kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a very nice bathroom.  All are beautifully and seasonally decorated to feel like a comfy mountain retreat rather than a sparse, hotel-like cabin.  And most of the inner walls are log hewn … so you’ll still have the rustic cabin feel.
